Bridgend College has today been announced as the winner of the FE Week & AELP ‘Apprenticeship Provider of the Year’ Award!

There are six categories that make up the award, with Bridgend College winning on a regional level. The College went head to head with Cardiff and Vale College for this category, and will now be running alongside the likes of Walsall College and Barnsley College for the national award, the winner of which will be announced at the end of March.

Our Principal and CEO, Simon Pirotte, along with Director of Work Based Learning, Matthew Williams, attended an official reception at the Houses of Parliament where the regional winners were announced yesterday.

FE Week tweeted saying:

“Congratulations to Bridgend College Winner of Apprenticeship Provider of the Year for Nations (Scotland, Wales & NI) region”.

The College offers an extensive program of apprenticeships over a wide subject area, all of which are based at our Pencoed and and Bridgend campuses. From customer service and management, to electrical engineering and equine; learners are able to work towards all levels within their desired field.

The apprenticeship program is also aimed at small & medium businesses to retrain or up skill current staff or offer placements for apprentices to help meet the needs of a business.
