Mark Loveridge
Director of UK Currency
Mark is an accomplished leader, with experience across a range of different industries. An international focus, business expansion and building relationships have been common themes through Mark’s career.
In his current role as Director of UK Currency at The Royal Mint, Mark manages all things coin for the UK economy, from relationships with Her Majesty’s Treasury, the Bank of England and commercial banks to forecasting coin demand and maintaining confidence in currency.
Rich Hobbs
Group IT Director
Rich Hobbs leads a team of 45 technology experts in building, managing and developing the technology landscape which supports The Royal Mint in both its current but also future business needs.
The team is made up of all aspects of technology from Helpdesk, network and system engineers, cyber security analysts, business analysts, data analysts and engineers, project managers, architects and software developers. They manage everything from the security of their network in both manufacturing and website to the implementation of large scale software and Cloud technologies.
In the next year or so, they will be working with Microsoft on Cloud technologies and building some great web technologies to enable everything from Precious Metal trading to mobile-specific journeys and functionality.
Dominique Evans
Senior Designer
After studying Graphic Design at the University of Brighton, Dominique Evans enjoyed a diverse career, fostering her love for fashion and interior design while working across a variety of fields.
Dominique is a long-standing designer at The Royal Mint, having worked in her creative role for over seventeen years. She has been bringing rich and interesting stories to life on coins since her first design for a bullion coin commemorating the Gold Standard. Since then, her submissions have been chosen to grace some of their most prestigious coins, including the Sapphire Coronation of Her Majesty The Queen, the life and work of Jane Austen and Victory in Europe (VE) Day. More recently, Dominique designed the Diversity Built Britain coin that features a geodome, which represents a community of connection and strength, with each section working together to build something greater
Lucy Vincent
Social Media Manager
Lucy Vincent is the Social Media Manager at The Royal Mint. She grew up very close to Bridgend College in Porthcawl before going to Cardiff University to study political communications.
After graduating, she worked in a number of communications and digital marketing roles in organisations such as The British Heart Foundation, UK Parliament and Swansea Council, before joining The Royal Mint and specialising in social media marketing.
Geraint Roberts
Maintenance Planner
Geraint Roberts has been a Maintenance Planner for The Royal Mint in Llantrisant for the last 10 years.
He is an Aircraft Engineer by trade. He gained his Aircraft Engineering Apprenticeship from the MOD whilst working at RAF St Athan. Whilst there, he was awarded Apprentice of the Year for the final 3 years which resulted in a flight in a Hawk Aircraft.
He enjoys using his skills to contribute to the exciting new system advances which happen every day at The Royal Mint.
Gethin Bennett
Assistant Legal Counsel
Gethin is Assistant Legal Counsel at The Royal Mint. After spending a couple of years in private practice, he joined The Royal Mint full time last year as in an in-house lawyer.
Gethin enjoys being an advisor for the Mint due to the huge legal and commercial variety in his work. There are opportunities to collaborate with many different people and Gethin plays a key part in ensuring the success of the business’ products and services.
Before qualifying as a solicitor, he studied Law and French at Cardiff University, and was lucky to spend an Erasmus year abroad in Toulouse as part of his studies.
Dan Johnson
Visitor Attraction Manager
As Visitor Attraction Manager at The Royal Mint Experience, Dan oversees all aspects of the business from operations to marketing and business development.
Dan started working in hospitality at age of 17. He worked in various companies including Brains Brewery where he had management responsibilities. Dan moved to a digital marketing role at Brains Brewery for 7 years until he joined The Royal Mint Experience as Marketing and Events Manager in May 2019. His knowledge of hospitality and marketing led him to return to an operational role in early 2021 as he led the reopening of the Experience, from financial forecasting through to staff training and ongoing customer experience delivery.
