National recognition for Bridgend College enterprise

We’re delighted that Ruth Rowe, Bridgend College’s Entrepreneurship Officer, has been awarded an Enterprise Educators UK (EEUK) Fellowship recently!

This national award recognises the work and professional achievements of enterprise educators on a national level. There are 26 Fellows in total within the EEUK, with Ruth being the only Fellow from a Welsh institution and the only one from a Further Education establishment.

Ruth is proud to be leading the way for Wales and for Further Education:
“I am absolutely delighted to have been awarded an EEUK Fellowship in recognition of my work at Bridgend College. As we start a new academic year that will be very different for everyone, I hope my passion for enterprise and entrepreneurship education and wealth of experience will help support both staff and learners to discover new ways of teaching and learning. It has never been more important to develop learners’ enterprise skills as they will be vitally important for the recovery of the Welsh economy following this pandemic.”
Ruth will be formally inducted into the Fellowship at an online ceremony on Wednesday 9th September as part of the online International Enterprise Educators’ Conference 2020.
Congratulations Ruth, we’re all very proud of you here at Bridgend College!
