What’s your Next Step?

From 4th – 8th of March 2019, Bridgend College are running a wide range of workshops focusing on the ‘next steps’ of all full-time FE students as part of Next Steps Week 2019.

These workshops are aimed at encouraging learners to explore the opportunities after completing their course at the College. Whether it be moving on to university, employment or an apprenticeship, anything is possible.

Next Steps Week at the College also coincides with National Career and Progression Week, as well as Apprenticeship Week and Welsh Week. A full schedule of workshops will be running at the College throughout the week including sessions in, CV writing, enterprise and freelance guidance, digital technology, media seminars and masterclasses and career talks.

The College has teamed up with some local and national businesses in order that students can gain a genuine insight into progression routes into careers. Workshops and masterclasses from Natural Resources Wales, Careers Wales, Menter Bro Morgannwg and Chwarae Teg will run throughout the week, as well as a Q&A session with the Ospreys rugby team and a business skills session with a representative from Deloitte.

To celebrate International Women’s Day on Friday the 8th, the College will be inviting Madeline Moon MP to deliver a talk to young female students aged 16-25.

Sessions throughout the week aim to support learners in their education or career journeys after college and to encourage them to ‘be all that they can be’.
