Do something nice for a friend or a stranger. Thank someone. Smile. Volunteer your time or join a community group. Look out, as well as in. Seeing yourself, and your happiness, linked to the wider community can be incredibly rewarding and creates connections with the people around you.

Menopause cafe

A Menopause Cafe is a group directed discussion of menopause with no agenda, objectives or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a support or counselling session.

Tea and talk

All you have to do is get together with a group of colleagues, put the kettle on and talk.

Volunteering can make a real difference to your own life and the lives of those around you. There are loads of ways to get involved and plenty of organisations …

I have been employed by Bridgend College for over 20 years. In that time I have educated and hopefully inspired over 2000 learners. I undeniably ‘live the dream’ in my role as Lecturer in Equine Studies. Bridgend College is a very good employer, always willing to support my career development and progression.

Proud to be a part of Bridgend College, it served me well when I studied my apprenticeship here. Glad I can pass on my expertise to present and future generations.
