This 1 day course is focused on providing plumbers, gas engineers and renewable energy installers with the knowledge around energy efficiency in the home relating to heating systems.
The Unvented Hot Water (UHWS) course has been designed to test the competence of engineers in the requirements of building Regulations part G3,enabling application to either join a competent person scheme allowing the self-certification of installations, or to notify the local Building Control department prior to commencing work.
This course has been designed with the intention of meeting the requirements of the National Occupational Standards and industry working groups to give installers the skills and knowledge required to correctly install heat pumps. The course is split into two areas which can be undertaken as individual areas or both; Heat Pump Technology and Air Source or Heat Pump Technology and Ground Source or Heat Pump Technology and Air and Ground Source.
The course will concentrate on installing Samsung’s EHS heat pumps including the wiring, plumbing and controls. It will also cover where everything goes, what you get from Samsung and what you provide, setting the system up and testing to see if it is working properly.
The 18th Edition Wiring Regulations course ensures that you are up-to-date with the latest industry regulations on wiring and the safe use and operation of electrical equipment and systems.
