A huge 33% achieved an A*- C grade in GCSE English, also a significant increase since the last academic year.
This is fantastic news for us as the FE College of the Year 2019, and have been consistent in achieving a whopping 97% A*- G grade in GCSE English, and 91% in GCSE Mathematics.
Simon Pirotte, CEO and Principal of Bridgend College said:
“We are really pleased with the achievements of all our students today, many of whom we hope to see enrolling into courses with us this September. We wish them all the luck and success in the future.”
Bridgend College has seen an influx of applications over the last couple of years and has put that down to the innovative teaching and learning that is delivered across all its campuses and the amount of choice young people have when they choose to study at the College.
Around 700 students are set to enrol today (22nd August) on courses starting this September, with hundreds due to enrol right into the middle of September. The College offers a wide range of courses in over 20 vocational areas, as well as an award-winning apprenticeship programme.
