Esports isn’t just about game play.

During the Winter Tournament the Bridgend Cobras competed in two competitions within the British Esports Championship. They went head to head with teams from across the UK playing Overwatch and Rocket League gaining confidence over the course of the competition with successful results. 

Globally it is predicted that esports will generate $1.1bn in 2020 and in the UK there are estimated to be 36.6 millions gamers with 3.1 million of these esports enthusiasts.

Our Students have to demonstrate a wide range of skills to be successful in a game. Team work, communication, problem solving to name but a few.

We are also hoping to expand our reach by broadcasting more regularly on platforms such as twitch and working with professional esports players as coaches.
