Enterprise
Our Entrepreneurship Officer, Ruth Rowe, is responsible for embedding enterprise activities in the curriculum and supporting projects undertaken as part of the Welsh Baccalaureate qualification.
Ruth is also happy to assist students in a range of curricular and non-curricular initiatives and can provide support with the following:
- Starting your own business
- Developing your entrepreneurial skills and networks
- Funding for your business through the Fairwood Trust Enterprise Bursary at Bridgend College
- One to one meetings to help you progress your business idea
- Signposting to free workshops and start- up advice
- Support to enter competitions e.g. Bootcamp to Business, Big Ideas Celebrated, World Skills Enterprise
- Support to apply for funding or awards
- Booking Big Ideas Wales Role Models to facilitate workshops for groups of learners
- Extra –curricular activities e.g. Be Your Own Boss programme and events
