The skills and knowledge gained from a Work-Related Education qualification will allow you to further your aspirations for employment, help you to manage your own career and ultimately develop a tool kit of transferable skills and attributes that will enable you to sustain employment now and in the future.

As part of this course, you will explore entrepreneurship activities for business and enterprise ideas, develop your digital technology skills and create a traditional heritage artefact.

Topics may include:

  • Exploring entrepreneurship and running an enterprise activity
  • Creating heritage and traditional craft
  • Developing and presenting information using ICT
  • Exploring job opportunities
  • Effective communication in the workplace
  • Building a career portfolio

Assessment will include:

  • Practical activities
  • Creating skills
  • Assignment workbooks
  • Presenting information
  • No formal qualifications required, but applicants should demonstrate a commitment to personal development

This course is a great building block for you to progress your career and confidently take advantage of opportunities such as apprenticeships and other vocational qualifications.
