This course includes a VTEC Entry Level 3 Diploma in Vocational Studies – Hospitality which is a nationally recognised qualification. Alongside this, you will follow various additional programmes to meet the needs of the industry.

Overview & Modules
The Entry Level 3 Diploma modules include:
Introduction to the hospitality industry
Working as part of a group
Customer service in the hospitality Industry
Working towards goals
Making the most of leisure time
Front office operations
Basic food preparation
Housekeeping and guest services
Introduction to food commodities
Serving food and drink
Managing social relationships
Food safety in catering
Dealing with problems in a daily life
Individual rights and responsibilities
Using kitchen equipment
You will also complete a range of additional qualifications including Communications, Digital Literacy, Application of Number, Employability Skills (amount and which ones to be confirmed).
Note, visits and trips are part of the course and there will be some costs associated with these.
How will I be assessed?
All assessments will take the form of one of the following:
Open book examinations
A profile of GCSE grades D – G or a recognised entry level or equivalent qualifications
Mature students who do not have these formal academic qualifications but have a keen interest in hospitality, travel and tourism are welcome to apply
All applicants will attend an interview at the College
Continue your studies
On successful completion of this qualification, you may consider progressing to other further education courses at Level 1 in related vocational subjects. Alternatively, you may seek employment in a variety of sectors related to hospitality, travel and tourism.
