There are a vast range of job opportunities in the Travel and Tourism industry which all require different skills. However, excellent customer service is required at every part of tourism, be that in a hotel, travel agency, restaurant, events management, resort reps or cabin crew.

Overview & Modules
A qualification specific to customer service focusing on various careers in travel will make up part of the course in year 1. In addition, you will study the principles of becoming cabin crew and a resort rep.
Please see below for a summary of each qualification.
Year 1:
The NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Introduction to Cabin Crew is designed for learners who’d like to work as cabin crew, including the duties carried out by cabin crew in the crew room.
NOTE: In order to meet the requirements of the qualification, a visit/training day to Flybe Exeter at an approximate cost of £120 per learner is a compulsory part of the course. In order to ensure commitment to the course this cost will need to be paid at the time of enrolment.
Endorsed by Thomas Cook, the NCFE Level 2 Award for Resort Representatives provides the skills, knowledge and understanding required to carry out the role of a Resort Representative.
The NCFE Level 3 Certificate in Principles of Customer Service provides learners with the knowledge required by employers to work in a range of different environments in a customer service role.
Year 2:
Successful completion of year 1 and adhering to college policies will ensure progression to year 2 where learners will study the NCFE Level 3 Introductory Diploma in Travel and Tourism.

You will be assessed in a variety of ways, including:
- Portfolios
- Online assessments
- Assignments
- Performance observation
Entry requirements
- 4 GCSE passes grade D or above or a recognised equivalent qualification
- All applicants will attend an interview at the college
Continue your studies
On successful completion of the two years, you may consider progressing to higher education programmes. Alternatively, you may seek employment in a variety of sectors related to travel, tourism, leisure and business.
