During the course, you will learn to describe routine preventative health care for 3 different species and the life cycle and preventative treatment for an endoparasite and an ectoparasite.
Overview and modules
During the course, you will also learn to:
- Describe and discuss the importance of monitoring and reporting clinical signs of ill health
- Describe clinical signs of ill health for 3 different species
- Undertake health checks for three different species
- State the principles of first aid
- Undertake the initial assessment of at least two injured animals
- List and discuss five common injuries and initial first aid treatment for each

Portfolio work as well as a practical assessment.
