This course will provide a supporting learning environment and prepare you to learn independently. You will have opportunities to develop core, transferable skills, study skills as well as academic knowledge.

This full-time course will prepare you for a range of progression routes including studying at Level 3, vocational training, and employment. It is designed for those who may have achieved few, if any, prior qualifications and offers GCSE English and GCSE Maths as part of the programme.

Modules may include:

  • Presentation skills
  • Planning for progression
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Study skills
  • Interview skills

The awarding body for this qualification is Agored Cymru.

Assessment will include written assignments, discussions, presentations and project work.

  • 3 GCSEs at grade D or above or Level 1 equivalent, as well as the ability to study and write at Level 1

Progress to other further education programmes including Level 3.
