This course utilises the S7-1215 PLC. It covers configuration, wiring, programming and fault finding. We aim to make this course as practical as possible utilising our training rig using TIA portal V17.
Overview and modules
During the course you will:
- Be able to recognise the setup and management of projects
- Demonstrate how to set up and make changes to the hardware configuration
- Compare offline and online programs
- Identify the different programming languages (Ladder, STL and FBD)
- Utilise and create memory bits
- Apply more advanced operations such as timers, counters and move functions
- Analyse the TIA portal software to determine the cause of faults
- Create you own programs based on a job specification
Assessment methods
You will be observed on practical assessments throughout the course.
