Delivered in our exciting new STEAM Academy, this course is intended to promote a variety of learning opportunities so that it is enjoyable for all participants.
You will be introduced to a wide range of scientific principles, set in meaningful contexts, enabling you to enjoy a positive learning experience. Practical work is an intrinsic part of science and this course. You will explore a range of practical skills and investigatory approaches throughout the year.

Unit 3: Task-based assessment
Unit 4: Practical assessment
Please note: during the October half term, you will be required to attend College for one full day. This day will help you develop your practical skills, ahead of the Task-Based Assessment and practical units that are assessed in November and January respectively.
Entry requirements
Relevant recent experience of GCSE Science is needed due to the practical elements of the course. This can be discussed at interview.
Continue your studies
Gaining a Grade C or above will enable you to progress to Level 3 study or a higher education course.
