This is the pre-access course for those wishing to progress to Access to Higher Education Level 3 Diploma in Health or Care.
You will learn about aspects of health, sociology, psychology and study skills and develop skills needed for progression to further study. There is also a focus on English and Maths skills.

- Safeguarding and counselling
- Career planning
- English
- Maths
- Communications / study skills
You will also develop study skills and academic skills throughout the course.
The awarding body for this qualification is Agored Cymru.
Assessment methods
You will be assessed through assignments or projects including formal presentations. There are no formal exams, but you will have time-constrained tests and class-based activities.
Entry requirements
- 3 GCSEs at grade D or above or Level 1 equivalent as stated, as well as the ability to study and write at Level 1
Continue your studies
After successful completion, you may be able to progress to a variety of Access to Higher Education (HE) Diploma courses including Access to HE Health or Access to HE Social Care (social work / counselling route).
