Overview & Modules

How will I be assessed?
The accredited units are mostly practically based with a mixture of classroom activities and off campus visits.
You will be taught by qualified tutors and support staff who are employed by Bridgend College and who have undergone an Enhanced DBS check.
You will be observed whilst doing fun activities and assessed on how well you can demonstrate and perform physical skills in a range of set tasks.
You will be asked to provide photographic and written evidence and supported to put together a portfolio of your work.
You are able to access general learning support with a designated classroom support worker provided by the College. However, in line with safeguarding guidelines, if you require 1-to-1 support, you will need to make your own arrangements to be supported by someone who has a current Enhanced DBS check in place; which covers both Child and Adult Workforce.
Entry requirements
You will need to attend an interview with the course tutor and demonstrate:
- A genuine interest in the subject
- A willingness and ability to participate in a range of practical activities
- A commitment to working hard and giving 100% effort
- That you have suitable transport arrangements in place to enable you to travel to the College Campus in Maesteg
- Agree to attend regularly and be on time for a full day of college activities
Continue your studies
When you have successfully completed the course, you will gain Agored Cymru unit accreditation at Entry Level. You will also have the opportunity to further develop your skills by doing other Pathways courses within different vocational areas.

We are extremely proud to announce that Bridgend College has now officially become a Google Reference College, the first college in Wales to be given this esteemed title.
