Level 2 Award in Parametric Modelling (7689-02)

The course is aimed to broaden your understanding of the CAD Parametric Modelling environment and its application.

The Computer Aided Design (CAD) Parametric Modelling Level 2 Award will enable you to develop your knowledge and skills to create sketches, work features, table driven parts and assemblies, understand constraints and be able to create a drawing layout. The software used will be Autodesk Inventor.

The course includes how to:

  • Use a parametric modelling workstation safely
  • Create sketches
  • Create work features and use features
  • Create table driven parts and assemblies
  • Understand motion and driven assembly constraints
  • Create a drawing layout to aid the interpretation of design intent
  • Create presentation quality displays of parts and assemblies

For the Level 2 Award, there will be assessment throughout the course.

Aimed at those who have studied and achieved Level 1 Award in Parametric Modelling (7689-01).

  • Level 2 Award in 2D Computer Aided Design (7689-04)
