This course will appeal if you use pedestrian controlled mowers as part of your work. You may work as a groundsman, green keeper or in amenity horticulture.
Overview and modules
The course covers pre-use checks, maintenance, identification of controls and instruments, and operating the machine taking into account the type of cutting mechanism used (rotary, cylinder, flail or reciprocating knife or greens machine with interchangeable units).
Assessment methods
2 hour assessment with an external examiner at Pencoed Campus.
Entry requirements
Candidates must be aged 16 or above.
