This course is the XARB03 – Certificate of Competence in the thorough examination of arboricultural equipment.

This qualification is aimed at those who inspect lifting equipment in the arboriculture industry. The Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER) 1998 require that all lifting equipment is subject to a regular thorough inspection by a competent person.

The course includes inspecting a range of arboricultural rigging equipment to prove competence in recognising faults and various loads and limits involved with arboricultural rigging equipment. It also covers legislation and terminology.

You will undertake a written exam and a practical assessment which are integrated within the training days.

You must be aged 16 or above.
