Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma
Overview & Modules
Engineering and environmental health and safety
Mechanical engineering principles
Computer Aided Design (CAD techniques)
Engineering design process
You will also complete modules from the PEO (Performing Engineering Operations) suitable to the modules being studied above.
You will develop a number of skills including numeracy, literacy and digital skills throughout the course.
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed in a variety of ways which will include assignments, external examinations, case studies and continual class assessment.
4 GCSEs at grade C or above including Mathematics and English, and preferably Science.
Continue your studies
After completion of the first year, you will have achieved a Subsidiary Diploma and will then be able to apply to progress to the full Extended Diploma or Diploma. If you have gained employment as an apprentice, you can transfer onto the part-time apprenticeship route.
Following successful completion of the full Diploma, you can apply for a number of Higher Education courses such as HNC Engineering, You can also pursue a career in Building Services or Manufacturing.
