This course gives you an opportunity to expand your creative practice under the support and guidance of industry professionals. Exploration and experimentation is at the heart of the programme and will allow creatives to identify their specialism and determine their next steps, for example University or straight into industry.

Overview and modules
This course allows you to develop your practice before embarking on University, could be the stepping stone to returning to the creative industry, or help you with a career change.
You will have access to a studio space with which to build your skills and confidence in a wide range of disciplines before embarking on your chosen pathway.
The first term will be an exploration designed to develop your knowledge and create opportunities to experiment and explore with a range of creative practice, materials and techniques. The course will introduce you to new ideas and ways of working, developing both your practical and contextual knowledge.
This solid basis will help support your independent investigations within your specialist area, opportunities for collaboration and leads towards a final showcase of your work.

Module 3: FMP – proposal and realisation

Assessment methods
You will be assessed in a variety of ways, which will include assignments and continual class assessment.
Entry requirements
- Level 3 (Merit) or an A-Level in a creative subject.
- Over 18.
- You will need to attend an interview and be required to submit a portfolio of work to discuss at the interview.
- Acceptance onto the course is at the discretion of the course tutor.
- We will be looking for a passion for creativity and willingness to explore as part of your application.
Continue your studies
On successful completion of this course, you will achieve a UAL Level 4 Diploma in Art and Design. This course can be a stepping stone to studying numerous Higher Education courses at University or will allow you to go straight into industry.
