Aims of the course
Use simple language related to everyday or work topics
- Construct simple sentences using main verbs
- Use simple forms such as questions, negatives
- Use simple linking words such as and, but, as, etc
- Use basic grammatical structures as appropriate, such as: genders, plurals, adjectives, etc
- Use simple structures to convey what a person can or wants/would like to do
- Use appropriate pronunciation
Give and request simple information about everyday or work topics
- Give simple information related to at least three topics
- Make at least three simple requests for goods or services
- Ask at least six simple questions of others, about one or more everyday topics, in the present tense
- On at least one occasion, ask what another person can or wants/would like to do
Convey simple instructions related to everyday or work topics
- Give at least five simple instructions related to a routine task
Use appropriate structures for what people can or want to do
- Outline at least five simple actions that one or more people can or want/would like to do, using at least two different verb forms, e.g., first or third person, singular or plural
Assessment
There will be oral question and answer, along with role play/simulation.
