Units may include:
- Being organised
- Developing a personal progression plan
- Working with others
- Researching a topic
- Using digital technologies
- Solving technical IT problems
- Creating a spreadsheet to solve problems
- Creating a website
- Developing a computer program
- Developing a digital product
There will also be opportunities to develop Literacy and Numeracy skills through a range of qualifications which will be studied at the appropriate level. The course also encourages the development of professional skills to help you on your course and with progression.
How will I be assessed?
Assessment is 100% course work. This may include oral examination, class tests, reports, role play or presentations, blogs, practical demonstrations, product production and participation in events.
Entry requirements
- Good, basic IT or administrative qualifications will be an advantage
- Good basic skills in literacy and numeracy are essential
- References may be requested
Continue your studies
Students who have successfully completed and achieved this course may apply for the Level 2 Extended Certificate in Information and Creative Technology course. You may also wish to broaden your skills and apply for other Level 1 qualifications.
