Introduction to Sugar Craft

  • 8 weeks, Wednesday 6 – 9 pm

This course introduces you to the different methods of covering celebration cakes and how to decorate them in a simple but effective way.

The course includes:

  • Introduction to the different equipment and materials on the market
  • Investigating the different types of icing and cake coverings
  • Themed decoration
  • How to regal ice and decorate a sponge cake
  • How to use chocolate ganache & decorate
  • How to marzipan, regal ice and decorate a fruit cake
  • Introduction to piping with royal icing
  • Introduction to icing modelling

Observation and portfolio.
