Introduction to becoming a fitness/gym instructor
Aims of the course
Understand the main components of physical fitness and how they are tested.
- Analyse how the main components of fitness are tested.
Be able to perform fitness testing
- Ensure testing equipment conforms with manufacturer’s instructions and health and safety requirements.
- Perform fitness testing.
- Record, interpret and evaluate the results performed in 2.2.
- Explain fitness test results to the testee in an appropriate manner.
Assessment
Ongoing assessment with evidence of achieving the aims of the course.
