The primary outcome of the VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Indian Head Massage is to prepare you to enter the beauty and complementary therapy sector as a specialist massage therapist. All the units in this qualification relate directly to the specific skills of providing Indian head massage treatments.

This vocationally related qualification includes all the required elements to develop your practical skills.

The four mandatory units include the practical and theoretical knowledge required to provide Indian head services and monitoring and maintaining health and safety practices in the salon to ensure all treatments are carried out with health and safety as a priority. The two remaining mandatory units provide the wider skills required to be a successful therapist of client care and communication in beauty-related industries and promote and sell products and services. Both of these units address the need for a successful therapist to understand the importance of retail and client care.

This qualification allows you to gather evidence in a realistic or real working environment without the need for real paying clients.

You will complete two exam papers. Assessment is set, marked and internally quality assured by the centre to clearly demonstrate achievement of the learning outcomes.

Assessment is sampled by VTCT external quality assurers (EQA).
