This full-time course will enable you to gain an introduction to the hands-on practical skills and underpinning knowledge required for hairdressing within our on-site salons. We have highly qualified and specialised lecturers who are active practitioners within their field of expertise.
Overview and modules
The course will run over 3 – 4 days a week. Some of the units that you will study include:
- Styling women’s hair
- The art of dressing hair
- Colour hair using temporary colour
- Shampoo and conditioning
- Presenting a professional image in a salon
- Plaiting and twisting hair
- Health and Safety
- Reception Duties
You will also develop your core skills as part of the programme.
Assessment methods
Assessment by online exams, projects, assignments and practical assessments.
Entry requirements
- There are no formal entry requirements. However, you must be enthusiastic and motivated to learn
Continue your studies
Progress to Level 2 NVQ Hairdressing.
