Overview & Modules
The regulations require that a hot water storage vessel with a capacity of more than 15 litres, which does not incorporate a vent pipe to atmosphere, should be installed, commissioned, inspected and serviced by a competent person.
The unvented hot water identity card which is issued is recognised by Building Regulations Approved Document G (section G3) and accepted by Local Building Control as evidence of competence.
This scheme covers the inspection, installation, commissioning and servicing of unvented hot water storage units and packages. This includes the electrical supply arrangements for direct heating, ie immersion heaters and the component requirements for indirect heating.
How will I be assessed?
Half day training plus half day assessment.
