The Creative industries sector is fast moving, innovative and exciting. If you love to be creative then this course could be the springboard to your career.

You will benefit from industry-standard resources including purpose built studios, workshops and recording suites.

You will develop your knowledge of media practices and work on realistic commercial projects. You will gain a number of practical skills including:

  • Video editing
  • Audio production
  • Camera work
  • Publishing
  • Live broadcasting
  • Script writing

You will also develop a number of essential skills including numeracy, literacy and digital skills throughout the course.

The awarding body for this qualification is OCR.

You will be assessed in a variety of ways, which could include assignments, external examinations, case studies and continual class assessment.

3 GCSEs at grade D or above. Equivalent qualifications are accepted, including a Pass at Level 1.

Progress from Level 2 to a range of Level 3 courses in Creative Media Production or to an apprenticeships or into employment.

The STEAM Academy

Our state of the art STEAM Academy will be an exciting new building to accommodate teaching, learning and support facilities for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics.

The Academy will be a flagship for showcasing 21st century teaching and learning, bringing economic and cultural growth to the Bridgend County Borough area.
