Craft Skills – Supporting Children

Aims of the course

You will be taught new craft skills, which will support your creative role as parent/carer or childcare worker. As well as providing fun items that you can use in creative play activities, we will also be looking at how recycled materials can be recreated to make fun creative items for children.

Examples of what you will be making include:

  • Puppets
  • Games
  • Percussion instruments
  • Picture frames
  • Stuffed toys
  • Treasure boxes

Assessment

Ongoing assessment with evidence of achieving the aims of the course.
