This course has been designed for applicants with a strong interest in the management and conservation of native wildlife. You will study a range of units gaining a combination of practical skills and knowledge to further your career in the industry or continue to higher education.

Overview & Modules
There is a strong emphasis on practical training and applied knowledge throughout the course which is delivered via lectures, practical sessions, field trips, guest speakers and visits.
Practical conservation skills
Woodland habitat management
Grassland habitat management
Farm habitat management
You will also develop a number of skills including numeracy, literacy and digital skills throughout the course.
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed in a variety of ways which could include scenario based assignments, practical assessments, case studies, presentations and continual class assessment.
5 GCSEs at grade C or above, preferably including English and Maths (equivalent qualifications are accepted including a Merit at Level 2).
Continue your studies
Successful completion will enable you to achieve the Level 3 90 Credit Diploma and can be used as a stepping stone to Higher Education courses.
This is an industry recognised qualification designed to provide the knowledge and practical experience to enhance employability in the sector.
