This programme is equivalent to 1.5 A Levels and consists of 9 units of study. It is a work-related qualification reflecting the knowledge and understanding required in the industry.

Overview & Modules
This course will:
Provide opportunities for you to achieve a nationally recognised level 3 vocationally-specific construction or civil engineering
Provide opportunities for you who are already in, or about to enter into employment
Provide education, training and the application of knowledge in technical areas that are directly relevant to the industry
You will be given the opportunity to apply your learning in a practical and realistic way. In addition to your main programme, you will also study English and Maths. Depending on your grades on entry, you may study GCSE English or Maths.

Maths in construction and the built environment
Science and materials in construction and the built environment
Construction technology and design
Building technology in construction
Surveying in construction and civil engineering
Measurement techniques in construction
How will I be assessed?
This course is delivered through a mixture of classroom tuition, practical skills, guided assignment work and personal study.
5 GCSEs at grade C or above, including English and Maths (equivalent qualifications are accepted including a Merit at Level 2)
Continue your studies
The course enables access to many vocational pathways such as Civil Engineering, Construction and Building Services.
