Our courses will help you gain the necessary skills and knowledge to develop a trade pathway such as brickwork, carpentry, plumbing or painting and decorating. You will develop an appreciation of how all the skills areas work together to build efficient and safe buildings.
This Entry Level 3 Extended Certificate in Construction Skills is a multi-craft course and designed to introduce you to the construction industry.
Overview and modules
This course will help you:
- Decide what area of the industry you would like to work in
- Develop your skills and knowledge at this level
- Prepare you to take further qualifications to enable you to enter the industry in your chosen craft
Modules include:
- Bricklaying
- Carpentry and joinery
- Wall and floor tiling
- Painting and decorating
- Construction operations
- Plumbing
Assessment methods
Assessment will include practical assignments, written assignments and multiple choice unit end tests.
Entry requirements
There are no formal entry requirements. However, you must be enthusiastic and motivated to learn.
Continue your studies
This qualification will prepare you to progress in your chosen trade as a trainee, apprentice or onto further study.
