Our courses will help you gain the necessary skills and knowledge to develop a trade pathway such as brickwork, carpentry, plumbing or painting and decorating. You will develop an appreciation of how all the skills areas work together to build efficient and safe buildings.
This Level 1 course has been designed to introduce you to the construction industry and the trade areas of Brickwork and Plumbing, preparing you to take further qualifications.
Overview and modules
This course will provide a foundation of learning within the areas of general construction, brickwork and plumbing and help you decide the area of the industry you would like to work in.
You will gain first level skills in plumbing and brickwork and learn about health and safety in construction trades.
Assessment methods
Assessment by practical and written assignments, multiple choice unit end tests and online testing of knowledge within the additional programmes of study.
Entry requirements
There are no formal entry requirements. However, you must be enthusiastic and motivated to learn.
Continue your studies
This qualification will prepare you to progress in your chosen trade as a trainee, apprentice or onto further study at Level 2.
