The Chartered Management Institute Certificate in Strategic Management and Leadership is a Level 7 qualification and is designed for managers who are operating a strategic level in the workplace.
Overview & Modules
This course will require current managers to develop their strategic management and leadership skills and to implement these models into their organisation’s strategy. This is a Master’s level course with good progression routes onto an MBA course. Beneficial to have had at least 2 years of middle management experience.
The Level 7 Award in Strategic Management and Leadership will build on existing managerial skills, competencies and knowledge you already possess. It will endeavour to provide you with a greater understanding of the various roles and responsibilities involved in strategic management. You will complete one unit, ‘Strategic Leadership’. This unit is about understanding strategic leadership skills and strategies and the understanding of ethical and cultural issues within the organisation.
How will I be assessed?
Assessment is via a work based assignment which can be in written format, professional discussion or presentation format.
You do not need to be in a senior managerial position in order to undertake this qualification as the units are completed as assignments based on academic research.
