The Level 5 qualifications in Management and Leadership are designed for practising middle managers and those aspiring to senior management who want to develop their core management skills such as managing resources, recruitment and information management. These qualifications focus on the personal development of the individual learner’s management capabilities and competencies.
Overview & Modules
You will complete a minimum of 40 TUT units which we suggest are Principles of operational leadership and management in an organisational context.
Principles of operational leadership and management in an organisational context is concerned with assessing organisational culture, reviewing values and ethics. Additionally, a number of comprehensive tools will be introduced to analyse the market place. We will examine leadership skills and styles with critical reflection.
This course will be run over 1 day: 1 workshop of one day duration; after which you will receive at least two hours 1:1 contact with your assigned tutor and ongoing advice and guidance throughout the duration of this course.
You are required to complete a minimum of 40 TUT to gain the award.
How will I be assessed?
Assessment is via a practical work-based assignment. This ensures you take minimum time away from work and that you undertake work study which is relevant to you.
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. However, participants will usually be either practicing or aspiring middle managers. You will have the opportunity to meet the assessment criteria through your own experiences, and have a background that will enable you to benefit from the programme.
Note, you do not need to be in a senior managerial position in order to undertake this qualification as the units are completed as assignments based on academic research.
