Overview & Modules
This Award is ideal for those who want to explore and then show knowledge, understanding and skills required in your role as a first line manager in developing productive working relationships and effectively managing team performance – a great unit to start your management journey.
After you have registered for this qualification, you will automatically become a studying member, and upon completion will be eligible to become an Associate member of the CMI with all of the resources you need through the CMI Management Direct Portal.
You will complete one unit which is usually the ‘Being a Leader’ unit. This unit is concerned with the leadership skills of a leader who has first line management and leadership responsibility.
You will attend one induction day at Bridgend College, Queens Road Campus at the start of the course. After which you will receive a variety of support depending on the chosen delivery method. The qualification can be undertaken, in class, distance, blended or one to one for example.
Ongoing advice and guidance throughout the duration of this course.
To achieve an Award Level 3 in First Line Management, a learner needs to complete any single unit from the table below and achieve a minimum of 6 credits. To make it easier we have chosen: Being a Leader but this can be changed.
How will I be assessed?
Assessment is via a practical work-based assignment. This ensures you take minimum time away from work and that you undertake work study which is relevant to you.
