You will look at how organisations function and grow in a competitive market, and develop skills for personal and professional development such as research and analysis, communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork and project management. You will apply what you learn in the classroom to real-life business scenarios, so you’ll graduate from this course ready to take the next step to a successful career in business.

Modules for Year 1:

  • The management of financial information
  • Academic and professional development
  • Entrepreneurship and business start-up
  • Economics, law, and regulation
  • Organisational behaviour
  • Foundations in marketing

Modules for Year 2:

  • Live research project
  • Managing an enterprise
  • Strategic business analysis

Optional units for Year 2:

  • Digital context
  • Developing talent for success
  • Marketing communications

You will be assessed in a variety of ways which could include assignments, external examinations, case studies and continual class assessment.

You will need:

  • 2 A levels at grade D OR
  • BTEC Extended Diploma at PPP OR
  • A pass in an Access to HE Diploma to include passes in 45 Level 3 credits, in relevant subjects (or other equivalent qualifications)
  • Plus 3 GCSEs at grade C or above, to include Maths and English (or other equivalent qualifications)

Mature applicants lacking formal entry requirements but with relevant and/or industrial experience will also be considered.

On successful completion, you may progress to the BA (Top-up) Business Studies or begin a career in areas such as marketing, sales, ecommerce and HR.
