Currently small businesses are the engine of the Welsh economy with over half of the jobs in Wales coming from business start-ups with less than ten people. Our full range of business courses will give you the skills and knowledge you need to build a career in business and be a part of this.
This qualification is suitable if you are looking to develop an understanding of business, and how the main functions of business, finance and marketing work together.
Overview and modules
You will develop a range of business related skills including marketing, sales, customer liaison and product development.

You will also develop a number of skills including numeracy, literacy, digital and employability skills throughout the course.
The awarding body for this qualification is OCR.
Assessment methods
You will be assessed in a variety of ways which could include assignments, tutor observations and continual class assessment which is moderated externally.
Entry requirements
3 GCSEs at grade D or above. Equivalent qualifications are accepted, including a Pass at Level 1.
Continue your studies
If you achieve an overall Merit or Distinction at Level 2, you will be able to progress to the Level 3 Diploma or, alternatively, enter employment.
