Our full-time courses enable you to gain hands-on practical skills and underpinning knowledge within our on-site salons. We have highly qualified and specialised lecturers who are active practitioners within their field of expertise.

This course is 3 days a week, including 1 evening commercial session, where you will work in a realistic salon environment developing practical skills essential for industry requirements.

This course covers all Level 2 requirements and also offers you further enrichment through additional day courses and skills competitions. You will benefit from 1 day additional workshops with professional beauty therapy companies, at a small cost, to improve employability and skills.

Modules include:

  • Skincare
  • Manicure / pedicure
  • Depilatory waxing
  • Lash and brow treatment
  • Application of makeup
  • Threading
  • Nail art
  • Creating an image
  • Reception duties
  • Client care and communication
  • Health and safety
  • Anatomy and physiology

You will also develop a number of skills including numeracy, literacy and digital skills throughout the course.

Note, you will need to purchase a uniform and kit to begin the course.

The awarding body for this qualification is VTCT.

You will be assessed in a variety of ways, which could include assignments, external examinations, case studies and continual class and practical assessment.

4 GCSEs at grade C or above. Equivalent qualifications are accepted, including a Pass at Level 1.

Progress to Beauty Therapy (NVQ / Diploma Level 3) or Hair & Media Makeup Level 2.
