Overview & Modules
You will gain a sound scientific background as part of the course, along with specialised vocational module delivery.
Subjects include:
- Principles of veterinary science 1
- Skills for academic study
- Animal husbandry
- Animal biology
- Animal nutrition
- Animal behaviour
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed through a variety of methods such as practical portfolios, exams, assignments, presentations, reports and case studies.
Entry requirements
You will need:
- 2 A levels at grade D OR
- a BTEC Extended Diploma at PPP OR
- a pass in an Access to HE Diploma to include passes in 45 level 3 credits, in relevant subjects (or other equivalent qualifications)
- Plus 3 GCSE’s at grade C or above, to include Maths and English (or other equivalent qualifications)
- Mature applicants lacking formal entry requirements but with relevant and/or industrial experience will also be considered
- You may be invited to an interview/audition/entry test
Continue your studies
On successful completion of the HNC, you can top up your qualification by progressing to the HND, to go on to work in the industry.
