Level 3 Advanced Technical Extended Diploma
2 years full-time
Studying at Level 3, you will benefit from work placement which is a great opportunity to experience working within an existing organisation and see what happens in an actual workplace. Our facilities include a range of small, large and exotic animals within our Animal Care Centre, scientific laboratory and a fully equipped veterinary nursing area.
This course will enable you to develop specific technical and professional skills and knowledge in the animal care industry.
Overview and modules
This course will enable you to explore a wide range of industry areas including animal care and management, zoos and wildlife and applied science. You will gain skills in handling and managing a wide range of animals and develop a good understanding of the animal management sector.

You will be assessed in a variety of ways which will include assignments, controlled assessments and exams.
Entry requirements
Continue your studies
After successfully completing the first year, you will have achieved the Level 3 Advanced Technical Diploma in Animal Management.
On successful completion of the second year, you will achieve the full Level 3 Advanced Technical Extended Diploma in Animal Management and eligible to progress to HND studies, other higher education or employment.
