This Level 1 course offers a mainly practical insight into the various aspects of animal care. You will gain a combination of practical skills and knowledge to further your career in the industry or progress further within this area of study.
Overview and modules
There is a strong emphasis on practical training and applied knowledge throughout the course. This is combined with lectures, field trips, guest speakers and visits linked to your area of study.

Assessment methods
You will be assessed in a variety of ways which could include practical assessments, case studies, presentations and continual class assessment.
Entry requirements
There are no formal requirements; however you will need to attend an interview which includes a written task.
Continue your studies
Following successful completion, progress to Level 2 Animal Care.
