All learners will be expected to do homework each week.
RESIT Class for November examinations: Wednesday, 5 pm -8 pm. The resit class is a short course of approximately 7 or 8 weeks, and is primarily aimed at those who completed a GCSE Maths course the previous year and received a Grade D in the summer examination.
All learners will be asked to come into College for an informal discussion to assess their current ability level and the most appropriate class.
Evidence of the GCSE Mathematics Grade achieved will be required
Mature learners without formal qualifications will be accepted at the discretion of the course tutor
Assessment by two external examinations; one in late May and the other early June.
The examination board is WJEC. There are 2 types of GCSE: Mathematics and Mathematics-Numeracy. We usually sit the Mathematics paper.
Gaining a Grade C or above will enable you to progress to Level 3 study.
