A number of classes are on offer to suit every student including WJEC GCSE English Language, and pre-GCSE English skills.
The skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening are of vital importance in many areas. Different forms of assessment are appropriate to these different skills. Reading and Writing are assessed through two externally marked units. Speaking and Listening (Oracy) are assessed in a variety of different situations during the course.
The course is designed to assist and develop students with all aspects of writing, reading, speaking and listening in preparation for GCSE English Language.

All students will be asked to come into College for an informal discussion to assess their current ability level and the most appropriate class
Evidence of any previous GCSE English Grade achieved will be required
Mature students without formal qualifications will be accepted at the discretion of the course tutor
