Bridgend College was proud to host its 2015 Annual Awards evening at the beginning of July, with RICS as Bronze Event Sponsor. The event was an opportunity to celebrate not only outstanding academic achievement but also individual commitment to study and determination to succeed.
Over 30 learners received awards for demonstrating commitment and motivation to their studies over the 2014/15 academic year.
Three departmental winners also recieved additional awards for Commitment to Study and the overall Learner of the Year. Joint recipients of the Award for Commitment to Study were Jesscia Davies, Learner of the Year in Childhood Studies and Gabrielle Craven, Learner of the Year in Land-based Studies. Owen Watkin, Learner of the Year in Sport recieved the overall Learner of the Year award.
As well as recognising individual achievement, Cwm Taff University Health Board recieved the Employer Partnership Award for their active support of their employees and work-based learning.
Students from Performing Arts performed extracts from their recent production of Guys & Dolls during the interval and closed the event with ‘Bring on Tomorrow’.
