A Levels can provide ideal insights into working or studying in a chosen subject. A Levels are usually for 16-18 year olds.
If you’re aged 16-19, you can access a wide variety of courses and pathways with us. Bridgend College offers 6 A Level subjects as Twilight provision or there’s an extensive range of subjects via our 6th form provision, Penybont 6th Form College.
Twilight subjects are taught at Bridgend College, Cowbridge Road Campus, with 2 weekly twilight sessions. Year 12 sessions are Tuesday and Thursday, Year 13 sessions are Monday and Wednesday 4.30 pm – 6.30 pm.
Twilight subjects include Criminology, Dance, Electronics, Film Studies, Further Maths and Law.
A wide range of theories and strategies are covered in the course, all of which enable you to develop your understanding, as well as getting a taste of how Criminology can be used to support a range of Higher Education and career options.
This course will enable you to demonstrate and articulate practical and theoretical knowledge, understanding and experience of technical and performance skills, process and art of choreography, the interrelationship between the creation, presentation and appreciation of dance. Development of dance within an artistic and cultural context professional dance. Employment opportunities include performance, choreography dance education, teaching, administration, arts management.
This course will ensure that you have the electronic and mathematical knowledge and electronic engineering skills to solve problems. This will enable you to appreciate how many problems in society can be tackled by the application of the scientific ideas in the field of electronics using engineering processes.

A Level Further Mathematics is designed to broaden and deepen the mathematical knowledge and skills developed when studying A Level Mathematics. It may be studied alongside or after taking A Level Mathematics and provides a stimulating experience for those who enjoy the subject.
Law (also run in the day)
You will develop an understanding of the English legal system in a range of units such as: The Common Law System, Legal Values, Human Rights and Morality, the Criminal and Civil Process, Access to Justice and the European Union and much more.
